The "Launch Sequence Outliner" Prompt
How to create an email launch sequence that maximizes your product sales
Hey Warrior,
Picture this.
You've poured your heart and soul into creating an amazing product. You’ve even built yourself a nice little email list of people that are interested in it.
But when it comes time to launch, you're stuck.
You’re staring at a blank page and wondering what emails you should write to make your launch successful.
Before launching the AI Growth Kit last week, I was in the same situation.
I stressed a lot about my email sequence and spent a ton of time on it.
But ultimately, my email sequence led to over 125+ entrepreneurs buying my product within 5 days. And today I want to share with you what I’ve learned.
Because here’s the thing.
A compelling email sequence is the most important component to maximizing your sales when launching your offer.
Today you'll learn:
What email launch sequences are and why they're crucial for your product's success
A powerful prompt that helps you outline a high-converting launch sequence
How to use this prompt to create a launch sequence for your course or product
Let's jump in.
Why email launch sequences are crucial for your product's success
Have you ever wanted a product so bad that you lined up in front of a store to get it?
Maybe it was for the iPhone, or Harry Potter books or a Black Friday Sale?
The reason people do this is simple: The perceived value of the product is so high that people are willing to do anything to get their hands on it.
And this is exactly the effect that you want your launch sequence to create.
Your customers should be so hyped up for your product that they can’t wait to finally get their hands on it.
Here's what your launch sequence should accomplish:
Help you build anticipation and create a sense of urgency
Allow you to address objections and convince people of your product's value
Give you multiple opportunities to expose your audience to your offer
Without a well-crafted launch sequence, your product might go unnoticed, and you'll miss out on potential sales.
The problem is that most entrepreneurs struggle with a bunch of questions when starting to write their launch sequence:
Where do I start?
What should I write about?
How much time will I have to spend on this?
And that's where the following prompt will help.
The “Launch Sequence Outliner” Prompt
I created this prompt to help you outline your high-converting launch sequence for your product or course.
(Note: This prompt will not yet create the actual emails, but it will be a good starting point)
Here’s the prompt:
You will be creating an outline for an email launch sequence to promote a course or product. Here are the details:
Target audience: {enter your target audience}
Course or product details: {enter your product or course details}
Total number of emails in the sequence (minimum 5, maximum 20): {enter nr. of emails}
Follow these steps to create the outline:
1. Brainstorm a list of at least 15 key themes and ideas related to the product, including:
- The biggest pain points it addresses
- Common objections to purchasing
- Persuasive arguments for buying
- Target audience's fears and dreams
- Most common use cases
- Relevant trends or data that can be referenced
- Things that generate fear of missing out (FOMO)
Label this list "Key Themes".
2. Create an outline for the email launch sequence. For each email, include:
- A title
- The main goal of the email
- 3 bullet points describing the key contents
- The relevant key themes from your brainstorming that are addressed
Structure the sequence like this:
Begin with a "hype buildup" period starting 2-5 days before launch, with 1 email per day. Use this period to educate readers on why the product is needed and was created.
During the launch period, include more than 1 email per day if needed to reach the total nr. of emails.
End with emails creating urgency that the launch is ending soon.
Here are some important emails to include in the sequence:
- email showcasing testimonials
- email explaining in detail what is included in the course/product
- email discussing one of the main pain points the product solves
- email making a core argument for purchasing the product
- email announcing the launch is now live
- emails creating urgency that the launch is ending
Use the brainstormed key themes to guide the content of the emails. Make sure to spread them across the sequence.
Format the outline like this:
Key Themes:
[Key theme 1]
[Key theme 2]
[Key theme 3]
...
[Key theme 15]
Email Sequence:
Email 1
Title: [Title]
Goal: [Main goal]
Contents:
[Point 1]
[Point 2]
[Point 3]
Key themes addressed: [Relevant key themes]
Email 2
Title: [Title]
Goal: [Main goal]
Contents:
[Point 1]
[Point 2]
[Point 3]
Key themes addressed: [Relevant key themes]
[... continue for all emails until total number of emails]
Here's how the prompt works:
Step 1: Provide the necessary information in the prompt
Your target audience
Details about your course or product
The number of emails you want in your sequence: between 5-20 (with less than 5 you won’t get noticed and with more than 20 you might be too pushy)
Step 2: Let AI work its magic
The prompt will first brainstorm core themes for your sequence (this is the secret sauce of this prompt!), including:
Biggest pain points
Common objections
Persuasive argument angles
Your audience's fears and dreams
It will then create the amount of emails you specified, each with:
A title
The main theme of the email
Three key points to cover in the content
Specific core themes this email address
Here’s what it gave me when I entered my information:
Now I have a very specific outline for my sequence, with each email addressing some of the core themes.
By using this prompt, you'll make the first step towards crafting your launch sequence. Next, you’ll just need to take the outlined emails and use some other cleverly crafted prompts to turn them into actual emails (we’ll cover that another day).

P.S. - A lot of people have been messaging me that they missed the AI Growth Kit product launch. You can sign up to the waitlist for the next time it opens here.
P.S.S - I’m also adding my entire launch sequence inside of the AI Growth Kit, so that you can use it as a template to create your own.
