Building software with AI has never been easier

How to get started

Hey Warrior,

I’ve had a packed week diving deep into my new obsession: Cursor.

It’s just incredible what a non-coder like me can build with this now. AI has really made another leap and to me it feels like a ChatGPT moment all over again.

On top of that Replit came out with their new Agent feature last week, so this space of “building software with AI” is really starting to heat up!

Here’s what I’ll cover today:

  • My new Cursor course and who it’s for

  • 5 things I wish I’d known about Cursor when starting out

  • How I built my 2nd chrome extension in just a few hours

  • How to sync Cursor with Replit to deploy apps instantly

Let’s go!

🎁 Cursor Mini Course

As I've been diving into Cursor and building a bunch of apps, I wanted to really capture what I'm learning.

Often, when you go very deep into a new topic, you start to forget all of the problems and challenges you had at the beginning.

However, it's important to capture these, because those are the same questions others at the beginning of their journey have.

So this time, as I was learning this new topic, I decided to immediately turn my learnings into a resource that will be useful for others at the same stage.

This Cursor Mini Course (which I just released today) is the result of that.

I've also created a video that summarizes some of the key lessons covered in the course.

This video is basically a condensed version of some of things I've learned while building projects with Cursor.

🗒️ Built My 2nd Chrome Extension

Last week, I had an idea for another Chrome extension. So I built it. (Btw if you haven't seen the first chrome extension I built, you can check it out here).

That's the magic of it—you can now quickly build something simply to solve your own problems.

I covered my entire process here:

🗺️ How To Sync Cursor With Replit

Replit made quite the buzz last week by releasing its Replit Agent, which I would consider the top Cursor competitor right now.

After testing it, I’m a big fan of what they’ve done and what it promises for the future. But I don't think it comes close to what you can do with Cursor yet. Right now, Replit Agent is only suitable for toy projects.

However, Replit does excel in one area: instant deployment. This makes for a useful workflow - Building an app in Cursor (using Cursor’s AI features), syncing it up with Replit, and then instantly deploying it.

In this video, I'll show you how to do exactly that:
